Finding flavorful low FODMAP packaged foods can be challenging. So…I have decided to post my latest market find on my site here. Check back periodically as I update with new favorite grocery store picks!
I always thought popcorn would be low FODMAP…but it is always good to get the official word!
Monash University FODMAP researchers have listed popcorn as low FODMAP in their app! Yipppppeeee! A ‘green light’ portion is 7 cups! Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks.
To make this good news even better, I have partnered with Quinn Popcorn to provide a yummy popcorn give-a-way! Want some? Just leave a comment sharing your favorite low FODMAP snack and you will be entered to win the Vermont Maple & Sea Salt and Just Sea Salt microwave popcorn pictured above. Of course, always check ingredients on packaged foods to ensure they comply with your diet guidelines.

I like to make a little trail mix. I include 2 TBSP Ghirardelli’s 60% dark chocolate chips, a heaping Tablespoon or so of dried, sweetened coconut pieces (I find it at TJ Maxx, Marshall’s or HomeGoods), 10 almonds, a teaspoon of dried cranberries, and a handful of kettle corn. I will sometimes add gf pretzels as well. I put it in little snack size bags :).

Sorry, I wanted to say one more thing. I just found out the popcorn I have always use has something in it called “TBHQ” which I googled, and found out it has butane in it. I would have never have know this before, but thanks to the Low Fodmap diet I read all the ingredients of anything I buy now!

Love Popcorn. Sometimes I drizzle a little melted dark chocolate on top for a little decadent taste. In addition, if I want something more savory, I go for the Nutritional yeast which imparts a cheesy type taste without any dairy. Who doesn’t love POPCORN – Yummo !!

Yum, so good to know that popcorn is officially low FODMAP! Kind of surprised about the 7 cup limit… I find I can only eat a couple of cups at a time.
My fiancée makes this killer popcorn with just olive oil and sea salt, which might sound lame because you know BUTTER goes on popcorn, but it’s seriously sooo good.
I also like to make homemade protein bars with rice protein powder. Perfect snack to being to work!
Mary
I have become a huge fan of potato chips because I can tolerate them so well. I’m hoping I can find something a bit healthier but still naughty enough to be considered a treat. 😉

I love pretzels and found Snyder’s gluten-free pretzels to be great so far! They are the closest in taste to a real pretzel. Word to the wise: I also have a bag of Trader Joe’s gluten free pretzels and they are dreadful! They remind me of goldfish crackers.
