Let’s talk cookies, okay?
One of my favorite holiday traditions is to make festive cookies. And, being on the low FODMAP diet should not prohibit you from indulging in a delicious holiday sweet, right?
Today, I thought I would do a quick round up of my favorite low FODMAP cookies so you and your sensitive gut can indulge a little during the holiday season!
This chewy peanut butter cookies with semi-sweet chocolate chips is one of my favorite low FODMAP cookie recipes. There are many low FODMAP peanut butter recipes online but what makes this recipe a bit different (and better!) is the addition of just a bit of healthy oat flour. Click here for recipe post.
These cornmeal cookies with orange zest and dried cranberries pair perfectly with a cup of tea. Light, delicious and perfect after your holiday feast! Click here for recipe!
These holiday meringues were featured in a recent post but I had to include them in this round-up! They are light, sweet, low fat and VERY festive! Click here for the recipe!
Flourless chocolate cookies, anyone? These are so decadent! They will fix just about any level of chocolate craving, for real! Click here for recipe details.
This biscotti recipe is from my friend Meg’s holiday collection. These biscotti’s are one of her family favorites…and now one of mine! Click here for recipe!
And for a few more inspirations, you might like these low FODMAP soft ginger cookies from A Little Bit Yummy! Click here to check them out! These rolled sugar cookies made with a mix of low FODMAP flours and chia look good too via VSL#3’s recipe page, check out recipe here!
Don’t get too caught up in the holiday rush! Try to savor the season with fun family holiday traditions…like baking up a batch of cookies!

I’d like to try these, but aren’t biscotti, by definition, twice-baked? Is a step missing?
katescarlata
By definition–biscotti are twice baked! But…I am not a chef…so I call these biscotti as they look and taste like a soft biscotti to me 🙂
Lynne
Thanks so much for these recipes. I have to avoid dairy as well so there are actually cookies I can make here for all my family to enjoy as well as me!!

Enjoy, Lynne!

Hello Kate – thanks for these recipes. I usually make whatever the family wants, but this year I will be able to make some for me too! Last week you mention a give away of the 21 day Tummy Book. Will you be doing this next week? This is a book I am very interested in. I hope it can convince my husband to go low fodmap to.

I already gave away the 21 Day Tummy Book—but the cookbook will be in give-a-way soon!
