Hey Friends!
Great news…another low FODMAP snack has hit the market!
Rachel Pauls Food has launched another flavor of their Happy Jerky…this time, it’s hot jerky! Low FODMAP beef jerky with a little kick of heat!
Today’s post is sponsored by my friends at Rachel Pauls Food, but all comments and opinions are completely mine!
What I love about Happy Jerky is that it is perfectly packaged to provide just the right amount of goodness—18 grams of protein, 150 calories (but who’s counting!), and 10% of your iron needs. Happy Jerky is made primarily of beef with just a few low FODMAP seasoning and ingredients. Pair Happy Jerky with a serving of low FODMAP fruit and you will have a great exercise re-fuel option. If you prefer jerky without any heat, then give the original Happy Jerky a try.
I am a busy girl. I love to be on the go and embracing as much of life as possible. Fortunately, I married a guy that can’t sit still either. Ha! We love to walk the beach in Maine, take advantage of a picturesque running paths when we are in a new city together, and travel as much and as often as possible. When I am on the road for work or pleasure, I always pack a handful of low FODMAP snacks. I definitely don’t want digestive symptoms to interfere with my fun.
I am grateful for Rachel Pauls Food for providing low FODMAP options for my clients and me! It’s not always easy to navigate a low FODMAP diet –especially away from home! Rachel Pauls Food first launched into the low FODMAP food market with their Happy Bar line up. Happy Bars are made with simple recognizable low FODMAP ingredients and are a great on the go snack too. They come in 5 different flavors, (my latest addiction is the Oatmeal Raisin)! I don’t know about you…but I alternate between craving a little sweet snack and then a savory option. 🙂 Happy Bars and Happy Jerky hit me up on all accounts. To me, there is nothing worse than feeling hungry and not having access to snacks that keep my sensitive intestine happy. Happy Bars and Happy Jerky are great portable options that hit the spot.

I’m very disappointed to see sodium nitrite in the list of ingredients for the Happy Jerky. It means the product won’t be an option for this IBS, migraine and fibromyalgia sufferer. I guess I’m going to need to learn to make my own. I backpack and camp out with my son’s Boy Scout troop and jerky would be very convenient for me if it were an option.
