21 Day Tummy Give-A-Way {Cookbook and Book!}

I am beyond excited.  21 Day Tummy was featured on The Doctor’s today How exciting is that?

book The doctors

Another opportunity for FODMAPs to get some well deserved attention.

I do want to explain something though…because there seems to be a little confusion around why I might have modified FODMAPs in a plan designed to lose weight.

The low FODMAP diet principle was included in the 21 Day Tummy primarily for one reason… to soothe and calm digestive symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation and IBS symptoms. You see, the 21 Day Tummy plan is NOT only a weight loss book but also one designed to minimize digestive woes! A 2 in 1 plan! And we all know that gas, bloating and IBS are VERY common. It is estimated that up to 1 in 5 people suffer with IBS! The book helps the reader identify their personal ‘belly bullies’ i.e. symptom triggers.

We learned the 21 Day Tummy plan was effective in managing GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux) in 2 of the 21 Tummy Diet testers (we put 12 people on the plan for 3 weeks). Two of the testers who suffer with reflux noted immediate improvement on the plan and during the diet were able to discontinue their acid reducing medications.  This did not surprise me as there is a link with fructan (a source of FODMAPs) intake and GERD symptoms.

But could the low FODMAP diet also help with weight loss?  Perhaps.  The potential connection {NOT fully researched at this time} could be the microbes (gut flora) within our GI tract.  Methane producing microbes are linked with higher body mass index (ie more methane producing microbes in the intestines are found in heavier individuals) and methane gas in the intestine not only causes constipation but microbes producing methane seem to be able to extract greater amounts of calories from the food we eat.  Does the low FODMAP diet starve these methane producing microbes? We don’t know for sure….yet.   But there is some speculation that the low FODMAP diet helps individuals with constipation predominant IBS because of the potential impact on these ‘bugs’…. starving the methane producing bugs means less methane, less constipation and just maybe better weight management.  BUT…for now…this is speculation and a bit more time and research is needed.

Just remember  21 Day Tummy is a plan designed for the person with digestive symptoms that also needs to lose weight BUT if you want to just enjoy the amazing recipes and learn more about gut bacteria, inflammation, belly fat and how that all connects to your health…I think it’s a great read with excellent science for just about everyone!

And the great news…is that there is a sequel to the 21 Day Tummy.  Yup! A cookbook jam packed with the most amazing recipes. Here it is!cookbook

And good news? I have two to give a way!  Just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win! The recipes are:

I would love a copy of the book! I am getting tired of my typical FODMAP diet choices and would love some new recipes. I’m also interested in the science.

  • Mandy

Wow, you have my mouth watering with those pictures! I would love to win a copy of the book. I’ve always struggled with the “pregnancy belly” without actually being pregnant so it would be great to learn more about how to get rid of it! Thanks!

  • Angie Chinn

I’ve just recently discovered FODMAPs, you and the reason I’ve suffered with tummy troubles for the past 40+ years. I thought it was all in my mind that healthy foods were the cause of my pain – no one ever suggested otherwise. I would love to have the 21-Day Tummy book to help me with my new steps toward healing my gut! I’m so grateful for the information you’ve shared to help people like me. ♥

  • Elaine Savage

I’ve been on low fodmaps a couple of years now with a huge improvement in symptoms. BUT was putting on weight due to a touch of monotony in the diet. I have been thrilled with my copy of the 21 Day Tummy book, with its wide range of easy tasty low fodmap recipes which I never could have devised for myself! And I’ve lost two pounds in the first week! I’d be delighted to win the 21 Day Tummy Cookbook for even greater variety.

  • Barbara

I would love some new low FODMAPS recipes! I have been trying some from the 21 Day Tummy book and so far they have all been great! i would love a copy of the new cookbook!

  • Mary B

I’m definitely interested. I’m always looking for new recipes to try and help my stomach problems and also I need to lose weight. As you said, two birds with one stone!

  • Joannie

Although I suppose any attention to the FODMAP subject is good, I found the spot on Dr. Oz annoying and uninformative to the masses. Obviously framed as a diet plan to make it sellable in the commercial market, I am not sure this helps people take it seriously. As a person who can only live well and manage her health by using the FODMAP plan, I find it disappointing. I wish it had been written and promoted more on topic. Perhaps I should read the full book before judging further, but on the surface I find this commercialization disheartening and damaging to the cause.

    • Well Balanced - Food - Life - Travel

Joannie, I can see how you feel this way… Most of the media spots are just a few minutes and truly don’t offer too much of the details –or at least the details I would like highlighted–and are done to draw the masses. But from my perspective–having popular shows in the media mention FODMAPs gives people that suffer with digestive symptoms a chance to hear the term FODMAPs. There are many people that fear talking to their doctor about their digestive woes and suffer in silence. The low FODMAP is therapeutic –has great science to back its use in IBS. IBS is a huge problem–20% of American are estimated to be impacted from this disorder! But the diet remains relatively unknown…so if these popular shows get the word out–I do believe it’s a step in the right direction.

      • Joannie

I understand Kate, it is the way of the media, and hopefully will bring some to the fold. I am just a science geek and would like to see a higher form of discussion/education such as your site. It has helped make a BIG difference to my life. I cannot even yet convince my own doctor of the merit and science of FODMAPS, (time for a new doctor). I appreciate your hard work. Keep up the battle.

  • Wendy

Since I have been following a low FODMAP diet, I have felt great! But, I’m getting tired of eating the same old things, so I would love to get a copy of the cookbook.

  • Carol

My head spins with all the information and trying to sort it out according to my symptoms. I love to cook and whatever I have to make for myself my hubby has to eat too, so help please.

  • Mary Ann

Have collected FODMAP recipes from your site and bought Sue Shepherd’s book. This looks very interesting and informative.

  • Josephine Droney

I just watched “The Doctor’s” and the 21 Day Tummy book was featured. What a great concept! I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 17 and am now 23 years old. I’ve always struggled with my diet as I know my symptoms could be greatly reduced with the right diet. I just haven’t found that right diet yet — but I’m hoping I just found it! I’d love to win the book!

  • Crystal

I would love a copy to give to my mom. We’ve both had bloating and stomach issues for years over the wildest foods (watermelon among them!). I started limiting FODMAPs about a year ago. Would love to share more info and recipes with my mom.

  • Jaimie

I’ve followed your blog for a whole and have loved all the information and recipes. I’d love a copy of both books as I’m often stumped for new FODMAP friendly meals and recipes my family will enjoy too. Thanks is much!!

  • Karen

Wow…a cookbook with recipes I can use with my IBS!! Awesome. And the 21-Day Tummy Diet sounds like it would offer such insight as to how my digestive system works. I’d love to add both of these books to my library 🙂

  • Joy Steeves

I would love to have your books. I have had colon cancer and have had an ileostomy and then a reversal. My gi wanted me to try a low fodmap diet as I had diaherra constantly. I found your site and your information on the low fodmap diet so helpful. I am a Canadian from the Atlantic Provinces and couldn’t find an RD that was educated in fodmaps. Your book and site has been so helpful in my cause. Thanks

  • Casey

I have just discovered the fodmap diet after years of tummy woes. I started the elimination diet 3 days ago and almost immediately had relief from some of my worst symptoms. The hardest part for me will be finding recipes to feed a family of 4 that dont leave me excluded from eating with them. This cookbook will be an amazing help with coming up with ways to satisfy all of us with 1 meal.

  • Janet

Oh Man, the more info about FODMAP the better! I truly believe there are millions of people who suffer with “tummy troubles” due to food sensitivities, or over processed or excess additives and don’t really know it, including their physicians. Much of the food we eat today isn’t even real, just a bunch of chemicals, antibiotics, hormones… It is making us sick.
I would love a free book, but mostly getting the word out, that if you change what you eat you will feel better, and I don’t mean just calorie reduction, it’s about eating what suits you personally. I know I’m rambling, but I am a believer. Thanks so much Kate to you and your colleagues for helping!!!

  • Lesia Lee

Thanks for all the work that you do to help all of us. I would love to win the cookbook to help with recipes.

  • dkaj

    Hi Kate,
So excited to see more air time for FODMAPs on the Doctors Show. I for one can tell you following fodmaps has definitely helped with my daughter reflux, regurgitation and bloating. Still working on some areas, so would love a copy of the book to get more fiber in my picky little one. On another note, my dd did regurgitate up some grape skins today. I know grapes are low in the fodmap area, but do you think this has more to do with the skins being tougher to digest – kind of like tougher meats being harder to digest? Just curious. Such a bummer because she actually likes grapes, but I hate to think of her regurgitating them at school.

  • Kandice

I’ve just started the diet in the 21-Day Tummy and would love to have the cookbook to expand my recipe choices. I’m very interested in seeing how this works. I didn’t start the diet to lose weight but to try and address digestive problems I’ve had for the past year. My GI doctor has been no help and before I try yet another doctor, I thought I’d try the diet first. Thanks for the chance to win this!

  • Bethany

I just received my copy of 21-Day Tummy yesterday and I couldn’t put it down last night! I don’t know if you’re willing to send one to Canada but I’d love a copy of the cookbook! I can’t wait to see if I can finally eat bananas and peanut butter again on the diet, I haven’t been able to tolerate either for years!

  • Wendy Down

Low fodmap when followed, allows me to be ‘normal, so I thank you for that. But its time to extend my knowledge and cooking skills. Please consider me for either book.

  • Maureen

It would be so great to win a copy of this book. I find following a low fodmap diet very beneficial, but i get bored with my perceived limited choices, so always backslide back to eating foods i know I shouldn’t. This book would assist greatly in my not doing so, with the added bonus of shedding a few pounds too. What more could you ask for?

  • Erin

I would love to win a copy of the book and cookbook! I have been diagnosed with SIBO twice and know I need to change my diet to help prevent it from coming back again.

  • Terri

A low fodmap diet changed my life – and I lost weight! It would be fantastic to have a book full of information and recipes. The pictures look totally scrumptious!!

  • ceri

I will be more than thankful I would love to win a copy of the book because I am in need of a desperate solution. I have multiple sclerosis and suffer from constipation. I realize now Using the bathroom should never be taken for granted

  • Valerie Yasner

I’ve been following a low fodmap plan since the RD in my Gi Doc’s office recommended it 8 months ago. It’s been very successful in alleviating my IBS discomfort. I’ve been following your 21 day tummy program recently and find that I feel even better and have been learning great recipes and surprising ways to be sure I am full and symptom free. Thank you so very much!!!

    • Well Balanced - Food - Life - Travel

Thanks for sharing that Valerie! I am so glad the low FODMAP diet has helped you out.

  • LORRI

I AM IN THE PROCESS OF FIGURING OUT WHAT IS CAUSING MY ABDOMINAL BLOATING. HOWEVER, I DOING SOME RESEARCH I HAVE DECIDED TO TRY THIS DIET. I AM LUCKY THAT I WORK WITH AN RD WHO IS WILLING TO HELP ME WITH THE DIET. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IF THIS IMPROVES MY SYMPTOMS.

  • Kim

Hi Kate! I would LOVE a copy of this book. I have both IBS and GERD, and have been managing them successfully with a low FODMAP diet, but would love to learn more / try some new recipes! 🙂 I find it fascinating that the low FODMAP diet can be such a life changer!

  • Liz

I was just diagnosed with IBS as well as diverticulitis. I have been in and out of the hospital for the past three months. I meet with a nutritionist yesterday and she recommended this diet. I am trying to learn as much as I can so I can feel better. I would love these books to help me get started. Thanks for the blog…and opportunity to get these books.

  • Karen O

I am interested in this book because I am preparing to test out FODMAPS. I think it would be very helpful! I am also more than 100 lbs overweight.

  • Jan

I am new to all this and would love some help with managing my IBS. I am struggling to implement a low FODMAP diet but am convinced that it will be worthwhile.

  • Cynthia Thayer

I have had seven organs removed due to damage from a ruptured colon. Your 21-day diet has been the only diet that gave me relief from pain in my altered digestive tract. I would love to continue losing weight and being pain-free with your new cookbook. I enjoy your blogs! Thank you for your dedication to research and the IBD community.

  • Kerry @ The Adventures of Z & K

I’ve already purchased your “21 Days FODMAP Friendly Menu Plans” and “Low FODMAP Cooking” and found them extremely helpful. As others have mentioned, it’s easy to fall into a rut in terms of meals though. I find myself eating the same things day in and day out because they work for me. While I’m ok with this most of the time it’d be nice to have some variation. With 150 new recipes in that book I’m bound to find something good!

  • Lauren Pulver

I have been following a low FODMAP lifestyle for over 18 months and have finally been able to put my symptoms at bay. BUT, I still need to lose 50 lbs (the first 50 came off easily when I switched to low FODMAP) and would love to have easy access to wonderful recipes!
Thanks so much for always having wonderful information to share!
    Lauren

  • Carrie S.

I would love to win this! I just recently started following a low fodmap diet after being at my wit’s end for my stomach problems. For the first 5 days I felt amazing and thought I had finally solved my problems. Then I quickly reverted right back to my old symptoms. 🙁 Maybe I need a new approach?

  • Susan Lowenberg

I would love a copy of the 21 day tummy cookbook. I’m always searching the Internet for new recipes and ideas and would greatly appreciate having an actual Low FODMAP cookbook. Thanks!

  • Karyn Miller

As a SIBO patient, the FODMAP diet is a saving grace! One can not live on the antibiotics forever!
Lately, I’m trying to modify my food choices while following this “fast metabolism diet” but almost all of the foods allowed, are on the “no no” list for FODMAPS! So the cookbook would be the perfect way to stay bloat and agony free, AND lose the weight!! Would love to be considered for the cookbook! Not sure how many more bland egg white meatloaf slabs I can deal with! LOL
    Karyn

  • Wyvonne

I would like to have your cookbook. I have suffered with stomach problems for 47 years. My doctor mentioned a lowfodmap diet to me last year, but I don’t know enough about what I can eat. I have ordered your 21 day tummy in hopes that I can learn what to eat to feel better. Life is not good when everyday is a bad day. I would love to have this book to help me with my lifestyle change.

  • Mollie

Wow! I would love this book. I have gluten, fructose and lactose issues. For months I’ve been dealing with bacteria overgrowth in my gut. Would love some recipes to help with mealtime!

  • Rhonda

I have enjoyed your recipes, I have been on the Fodmap diet for 3 months and I have gained weight, which scares me because I gain wieght very easily. I have had IBS for 30 years. I started JJ Virgin diet to get healthy and lose my last 10 pounds her books states her diet will help ibs. Well I was unable to go anywhere for several months because my IBS got worse and I didn’t know why. I was so miserable I couldn’t even make it through church. I didn’t put it together until I saw the fodmap diet! I was eating almost everything I shouldn’t according to the fodmap (coconut milk, oil, avacado, lentil, hummas, onions, garlic, pea protien, etc.) I was put on 50 mg of Nirtriptyline and lexapro to settle my gut down and my gastrologist gave me the fodmap but she doesn’t think diet has anything to do it! I started it right away and I am happy to say I am able to function just about normal again. I was scared that I would gain wieght on the fodmap diet and I have, so when you said you can lose weight I would love to read your book on that. Thanks so much for the recipes, of course I don’t tolerate dairy and corn so I am extra limited to my meals.

  • Katherine

I would love these! I’m pregnant and trying to streamline meals in my home so I’m only making ONE for my whole family (vs a low fodmap meal for myself and another meal for the rest), so inspiration is always welcome!!!

  • Sherry

I am now doing the 28 day fast metabolism diet but would LOVE to try some of these recipes and see what kind of response my body would have to this diet! I have GERD and take Prilosec every day. How I would love to get off that! I am so concerned about the long term effects!

  • Karyn Miller

Kate, Can’t find the 21 day tummy cookbook. Just on Readers Digest out of Canada. A friend checked Amazon and B and Noble, also could not find it.
    Suggestions? Site location to order?
    Thanks! Karyn

      • Karyn

Thanks Kate! Also, through your web site, I was able to find an RD (Rebecca Scritchfield) in my DC area to help me with the FODMAP diet, and you can imagine how delighted I was that we were emailing on my 2 wk trip to Italy, as from time to time, I must have run into something that derailed me, and so, from Tuscany….to DC… a FODMAP lifesaver!!

  • Casey

Hi Kate! So exciting when I saw that on doctors yesterday I was like, ok now the word is really getting out! Awesome. This will gain more acceptance for fodmaps. I have a question on fruit and veggie skins. Eg. Is it ok to eat the outside of the kiwi and the peel of the cucumber ? Is the whole fruit tested and cleared for low fodmaps or just the inside? Thanks!

    • Well Balanced - Food - Life - Travel

Casey it is my understanding that the food analysis looks at food as it is typically eaten. So doubt the kiwi skin is freeze dried and used for testing–just the inner fruit. Cucumber–would likely have the skin. Great question though. One I will have to ask Monash researchers about.

      • Casey

Thanks Kate. I love eating the skin of kiwi because I’m weird I guess. I’m hoping it’s not backtracking me. Your awesome!

  • Lisa

I have struggled with IBS for years and have tried many remedies unsuccessfully. I recently stumbled upon the FODMAP’s diet and an excited to give it a try!

  • Ana

I have never seen so many reactions to your latest post by email!
You are doing an amazing job, I learn a lot, I enjoy your recipies and of course I love to win one of your books.
Thanks again for all your hard work.

  • Lauren

I have had tremendous success following the FODMAP diet — thanks in large part to all the wonderful, creative recipes on your blog, Kate — and would love to win a copy if the new “21 Day Tummy Cookbook” to expand my diet and recipe repertoire even further!

  • Victoria

I would LOVE to win a copy! Thank you for opening up this offer to us!!
I have some of Liz’s books and can only imagine your collaboration will be a resounding success 🙂 Congrats on the publication!

  • Jordan

Hi kate! I’m so thankful for your website and books. After a year of terrible tests, my doctor finally diagnosed me with IBS-C. Although there are medications to try, I decided to try the natural route first. As long as I follow a low fodmap diet, my symptoms of bloating and constipation are managed. Your recipes have made this transition tasty and doable! I would love to explore this new book for more recipes and ideas! Thanks!

  • Debbie

Love your blog and your new book looks amazing. I have been suffering from IBS-C for years now and I am so frustrated with my current low fodmaps diet…I find it rather boring at this point and restrictive being a that I don’t eat meat. I would really appreciate being considered as a recipient of your new book….it may be just what I need to get re energized and relief. Thanks!!!!:-)

  • Melissa

This looks like an amazing cookbook! I’ve been on a low-FODMAP diet for about a year and it has been a tremendous help with my IBS! I normally relax and de-stress by cooking and baking. (If I’m having a rough day, my roommate order me to go to the kitchen) 🙂 It would be great to have a new set of recipes to try out and experiment with! Can’t wait to see more from you, Kate Thanks for your hard work in helping us fight IBS!

    • Well Balanced - Food - Life - Travel

Oh my goodness Everyone…I am beyond words. You all are the best blog followers ever…truly. You are typically a quiet group….BUT I am so happy that so many of you piped in your thoughts and details of your personal journey with the low FODMAP diet. I appreciate your kind words and support of my work. I will be selecting a few random winners for the cookbook (which I know you will LOVEEEEEE) and one for the 21 Day Tummy book too. Stay tuned!

  • Rachel Martin

Kate, your website has changed my life. I have a family history of IBS, and I believe my own IBS problems have something to do with my GERD. Literal revolt of entire GI tract from mouth to bum, I tell you!

My PCP put me on PPIs about three years ago after a barium swallow study showed a lousy lower esophageal sphincter. In the past year, he bumped my dose up. I really think the best thing I could do for myself is throw those pills away. They are messing with my digestion and I believe causing decreased vitamin and mineral absorption. My nails are brittle and my skin is dull.

I was eating super clean about 8 months ago and feeling awful. Very little processed food, small servings of grains, meat, and dairy, tons of beans, fruits, and veggies. I exercise 4-5 times a week. I’m still tired sometimes. I was having alternating diarrhea and constipation, tons of bloating, horrible sweet smelling gas, loud noises from digestion, and cramps. I knew that eating clean and exercising normally doesn’t equal feeling worse!

Been on your fodmaps diet for five weeks with a huge reduction in gas, bloating, cramps, and very little diarrhea or constipation. Meeting with a RD to figure out a good plan. Meeting with PCP to toss meds and find another solution. Also considering increasing magnesium and B12 intake to repair damage.

Hopefully, I will be free from this madness by my 29th birthday in August.

  • Jenny G

I am so excited to find your website and this book as a resource. I have had life-long struggles with my “gut” and tried numerous things that never led to complete satisfaction. I just heard about low FODMAP this week and was astonished at the list of foods that have bothered me for years on the high list. I would love to have the book of recipes or the 21 day book. Thanks for providing this help to fellow sufferers!

  • Ashley Fullerton

This book looks great! I love the two in one idea! I would love a copy of this book because I am ready to shake up my diet from my usual typical FODMAP recipes. In addition, I could use some more ideas for good nutrition to help sustain my energy, as well as support my new exercise regimen. I also could use some more creative ideas on what to make my finance and I for dinner too! 🙂

  • Vee

I have been following the low fodmaps diet and your blog for about a a year, with noticeable improvements in my symptoms. I bought the 21 Day Tummy book for its new suggestions about methane producing bacteria, weight gain, and sluggish digestion.

More recipes would be great. Can you tell us where we can buy the cookbook if we don’t win your giveaway? Amazon doesn’t list it.

Thanks so much for all you do.

  • Hayley

I had never heard of FODMAP until my husband saw you on The Doctors. I have had chronic gas, bloating, constipation, reflux and stomach pain for the past 6 years at least. I am very excited to try your book, I just know it will help me so I won’t be in agony every night. I wish I had known about this sooner and thank you for writing this book!

  • Shannon

I know I would benefit from reading this book. I’ve been living a low FODMAP diet since I learned about it a year ago from my Nutritionist.

  • Lisa R

Hi Kate, First the Dr. Oz show, now The Doctors…you rock!

I’d love a copy of the book, because I’m always looking for/trying new low fodmaps recipes!

    Lisa R.

  • Karen Zaorski

Thanks to a consultation with Kate a few years ago, I am a much healthier individual. It took some work to get my diet free from FODMAPS, but it is worth the effort. Initially, I’d lost too much weight when I was sick and didn’t know what was wrong with me. Now, I’m eating low-FODMAP, feeling significantly better and have even gained back the weight. I suppose it’s time for me to try the 21 Day Tummy book and recipes so I can shed some unwanted pounds that managed to befriend me! Over time, I have always found helpful, useful and interesting tips, information and recipes here on Kate’s blog. Many Thanks Kate!

  • Jamie Smith

Recently found out about the FODMAP from a friend and so glad I did. I have see much improvement in my IBS symptoms from following this diet. Would love to have this book to gain more information and recipes to follow to allow me more help.

  • Chari Hill

My gastroenterologist just told me to change my diet to foods low in fodmaps. I’d love to read this book to learn more info!

  • Clare Smith

I’d love a copy if that book! As a vegetarian it’s hard to find FODMAP friendly recipes, so the more recipes i have, the greater my arsenal 🙂 I love this website, thank you so much for putting together so much helpful information!

  • Shelby

    Hi Kate-
I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for your site as I had felt overwhelmed by figuring out how to navigate through starting this new way of life after my GI Doc recommended it to see if it assisted with issue with SIBO and Dumping Syndrome.

I have only been on it for a few weeks and when I found your site and learned about the 21Day Tummy, I finally felt like I knew where to start and have been amazed by how much better I feel and are seeing symptoms subside. I even was able to travel last week for work which typically the stress sent my issue into overdrive but I made it home with new major issues.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy the additional information from your conferences and am planning on sharing your info with my GI who is with a local teaching hospital as he is alway open to talking through new finds as to why I have these issues.

Please know that you are making a significant difference in many lives and by doing this blog you have been able to help so many of us who wasn’t sure where to turn.

I am so excited about the cookbook and have already ordered it as I have already enjoyed those in the book and really just wanted to say thank you!!

    Shelby

  • Kelly Thrasher

As a child, I always had a stomach ache. I am now 53 years old and it hasn’t really changed much! I don’t really know what it is like to feel good in my gut. My husband always said I was the only person he ever knew that could end up with a stomach ache on bread and water. But I never knew the bread could be part of the problem! I just discovered FODMAP and am just beginning to learn about it. I hope to be trying it soon and changing my life…just as soon as I figure out what to do! These books sound like they should be part of the journey!

  • Kerry

Is there a way to order both books in Australia? I follow low FODMAP for IBS and it helps tremendously but is so much effort to keep up without a recipe book! I’ve slipped recently and now feel pretty rubbish, I would love a copy of the books to re-start.

  • Ashley

I would love to have a copy of this book before I get married in October of this year! It would be great to be a little less bloated on my wedding day!:) In addition to just feeling better in general and having more energy!

  • Susan

I checked out the “21 Day Tummy” at the library. It has been such a blessing to read; an easy, simple plan for digestive and tummy issues. So much more than my doctor’s photocopied list of high and low Fodmap foods with no plan for the last 4 months. After overviewing your book, I would love to be considered for the give away of the “21 day Tummy” diet or “21 Day Tummy Cook Book” as a permanent daily reference. Thank you for doing the research and publishing this book.

  • Lexie

I’ve been following a low FODMAP diet for three weeks and it has changed my life. I would a copy of the book and cookbook!

My husband and I have been doing low FODMAP and have definitely seen particular foods of issue…onions! He has problems resulting from multiple abdominal surgeries and bloating causes incapacitating pain. Following this diet has helped him identify sources ( onions so far) and stay clear! But meal monotony is certainly a challenge. So glad I found this. The cookbook will be a welcoming addition!

I just had a colonoscopy today, & the Dr said I had the colon of an old lady. A lot of diverticuli. I’ve always had chronic constipation and gas. Now the bloating & heartburn have set in.If I don’t take Zantac everyday I’m suffering. The education in the book would be really appreciated.

My daughter is in her 3rd year of college studying Biology and due to stress and varied dining habits has really started having stomach issues. She had heard about and asked us for the cookbook for her 21st birthday which is in a few weeks. I was searching for it for her when I found your site, which is fantastic!!

Wow! I just heard about the 21 day tummy and started researching it. I have terrible constipation and eat when I’m stressed, which is all the time now! I’ve known for sometime now that the excess weight and stomach issues must be connected. This makes sense and those recipe pictures look delicious. I’m taking care of my 93 year old father-in-law and my 2 yr. old nephew. I also work full time. I think it’s time to take care of me so I can take better care of everyone else.

I just saw a special on A 21 Day Tummy via The Doctors TV show and am Positive that this book is the solution to fix my mother’s GI issues and will assist she and I lose weight! I’ve had digestive issues my entire life, due to not eating enough fiber. Now that I am older, I deal with fissures, but feel that the 21 Day Tummy is the solution that will work better than just consuming fiber!

I watched the Dr’s show today and would be very happy to receive the book. It would be wonderful not to take anti-acid tablets every day for heartburn.

I have entered menopause for the past 5-years and is having a difficult time with bloat/constipation/IBS and other issues associated with menopause. I have tried all types of suggested diets/food but is not very successful. I would love the chance to try the 21-Day Tummy. From what I have seen/read it seems to make a lot of sense and wonderful food to eat (I love food).

I saw this on the Doctors and thought it might help me. I have had this problem since childhood and throughout my senior years, it has been worse. I was in a lot of pain and had tests but nothing wrong. I seem to have symptoms of Celiac but am not, so must be very sensitive to foods. I thought it was protein but Calcium was the problem so I quit taking that and drink three to four cups of skim milk per day as well as yogurt because I have osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and degenerative spine problems. I hope these books can help me with my painful gut.
