The IBS Experience: Pictures, Prose and Poetry

Hello Friends!

As you may be well aware, April is IBS awareness month.

We are looking for individuals living with irritable bowel syndrome to share their patient experience in a creative format via a painted picture, photo collage or written in poetry or prose.

A collection of your creative pieces will be selected to be part of an awareness campaign for IBS in the month of April and at a leading conference for gastroenterology providers in May.

On April 19, 2022- World IBS Day, we will offer a free patient webinar, featuring three world renowned experts on IBS and will share a short vignette of the pictures, prose and poems that are submitted. Additionally, the artwork created by you may be displayed during one of the premier gastroenterology conferences, Digestive Disease Week at an invitation only event for gastroenterologists, dietitians and other GI clinicians to help providers better understand the patient journey with IBS.

For those of you living with IBS, we welcome you to submit a picture, photo, short written depiction of your experience (500 words or less), or a poem that will help attendees understand the impact of IBS from the patient experience.

If your picture, prose or poem is chosen for either of these events, you will be asked to fill out a media release form.

This project and awareness campaign is brought to you from TuesdayNightIBS, IBSpatient.org and yours truly, For a Digestive Peace of Mind, LLC.

Creative pieces or questions can be sent via email to experience@worldibsday.org

We look forward to seeing your submission and helping to amplify the patient voice during these important educational events.
