The seminar includes an introduction on the emergence of diet as a therapy for irritable bowel syndrome by William Chey, MD, Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of the GI Physiology Laboratory at the University of Michigan and includes a pre-recorded interview by Mark Pimentel, MD, Director of the Gastrointestinal Motility Program and Laboratory at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center reviewing the condition of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth with a particular focus on the role of methane gas.
