I am super excited about this box full of yummy treats for the FODMAPer on the go!
And I am giving one away today! Available for sale on my site for a limited time! To enter for a chance to win a box, kindly leave a comment and share your favorite brand name product that’s easy on digestion for on the run!
I have partnered in this project with Barney’s Butter, TrueLemon, Go Macro, Laiki crackers, Way Better Snacks and Ginny Bakes. I hand selected the products that are included in the box! In fact, I personally take these to go items with me when I am traveling the globe! Barney’s butter snack packets are the perfect size for FODMAPers–keeping to a 1 tablespoon serving size! LOVE that! Go Macro peanut butter bars are full of protein and well tolerated by my FODMAP clients! They truly keep my belly calm and full! TrueLemon adds a nice citrus flavor to water and recipes. I even add it to my ice cubes! Ginny Bakes mini chocolate chip cookies are such a fun and tasty gluten free bite size cookie treat! I have always been a fan of mini cookies…ever since I was a little girl! Hot off the press…Laiki crackers are a complete new find for me! These whole grain rice crackers remind me of triscuits but better! Just three ingredients… love, love, love that! And Way Better Snacks multigrain tortilla chips are a fave! I work for Way Better Snacks as a nutrition ambassador spreading the word about the health benefits of sprouting. Way Better Snacks includes sprouted seeds in these yummy tortilla chips! And we added the cutest FODMAPer tote bag and sticker to the box for even more fun for the FODMAPer!
Note: I selected products from each line that appear suitable for the low FODMAP diet. It is possible that not all products from each manufacturer are suitable for the FODMAPer. ALWAYS read ingredient labels!…BUT, I know you already know that!!
The purpose of the Digestive Peace of Mind Box is to introduce new foods to the FODMAPer. Also, I created the box as I wanted the FODMAPer to have a little treat. 🙂 We all deserve a little pampering! When you have digestive issues…it’s hard enough. The low FODMAP diet has been life changing for me after years of an upset belly after major intestinal surgery 20 years ago! It’s nice to know what to eat to keep my belly calm. I don’t follow the diet completely–as I am well aware now of what I can and can’t eat to keep my symptoms in check!
Gotta run! Busy, busy prepping for my all day Digestive Health Seminar this Thursday! Plus, two talks that I will be giving next week to dietitians in Augusta, Georgia!
lisa

I actually have a really tough time with regular nut butters, but have found that PB2 is just fine for my digestion! I also really love TrueLemon 🙂
Nataliya
I love the low FODMAP peanut butter and chocolate bars by Nicer Foods (bonus, they’re family owned and local to Seattle). I’ve also tried a couple of Earnest Eats’ bars and been ok. Hopefully I’ll get to try a whole lot more soon! 🙂
Kate Watson
Thanks for the shout out, Nataliya :))

What a great giveaway! I can tolerate the Nature Valley Oats N Honey Crunch Granola Bars very well. All the ingredients are in everyday English and they are easy to find even at gas station quick stops. So if I am on the road and really need a quick snack, odds are good I will find this.
Delena
I’m new to all these store bought snacks, but based on your description I’m thinking the Laiki crackers will be a favorite!
Kerry@The Adeventures of Z & K

Laine
I love Kind bars, especially the Maple glazed pecan and sea salt.
Jessica
I am addicted to the GoMacro peanut butter bars, as well as a variety of Bobo’s Oat Bars. I discovered both of these on your website over the summer when I unexpectedly had to travel for work right in the middle of the elimination phase of my diet. I needed something I could travel with and still stay on track, and these helped me so much! I still each them all the time and highly recommend! I was so grateful to find your post, and your site has helped me so much during this journey!
Joann

I’m new and adjusting to the FODMAP diet, but lately I’ve been relying on larabars and Justin nut butter packets to get me through. This resource for a box of quick snacks is very appreciated for someone like me who is on the go!
katescarlata
Anastasia…most Larabars have dates–which are not FODMAP friendly. Just an FYI.
Morgan Croft
I absolutely love Barbara’s Puffins cereal. Added to yogurt, with yogurt or even by the handful. All three flavours (peanut butter, cinnamon and original) are delicious and completely fodmap friendly. Plus they have awesome packaging cause who doesn’t love puffins?
katescarlata
Love Puffins…but avoid the gluten free multi grain puffins with the ‘fructans’!!
Samantha Jones
Hellooo box of gorgeousnessness. How YOU doin’? Metcalfe’s Skinny Popcorn ‘Sweet and Salt’ is my go-to snack of choice when on the run.
katescarlata
It is a box of gorgeousnessness!! 🙂

katescarlata
Yes, Sophie…seems like you do need some variety!! 🙂

My favorite on the go snacks are a banana or I pack some gorilla munch in a baggie and they make a satisfying crunchy snack!

Thanks to you I have so many choices! I love those little packets of Barney Butter and bags of chips from Way Better Snacks. When I travel I make sure to take along fresh bananas. Sometimes it can be a challenge to find FODMAP friendly fruit!
Kristina
I am new to the fodmap diet. Still learning to have the patience to read all labels and plan all my meals, your Instagram and website have been a huge help! I would love to try your box of fodmap friendly snacks!
katescarlata
Welcome to the low FODMAP diet Kristina! Glad to see you are following me on Instagram….I love Instagram!!
Barb
Haven’t tried any of these products yet. It would be great to win them; they’d probably taste so much better that way!
Two of my handy “take-alongs” are Kind Maple pumpkin seed bar and Nature Valley dark chocolate peanut & almond bar. I can be satisfied with either of these for a long time.
priya
I would LOVE to win this! my go to snacks are homemade bars/muffins if I have them, other wise some fruit! I actually tolerate beans/legumes well so salads with those are good to keep handy. these snacks sound like some that I’d really like, esp the lemon!
Mary B
What a great idea! I’m always looking for new things so will definitely get a box. I love True Lemon in my water as it makes it taste special. I’ve been exploring products from Glutino and Wallaby which seem to be okay for me. I also just found Udi bread in a local market. It’s definitely the best GF bread I’ve found.
Jaclyn Donat
Almond butter for sure!!!
Stefanie
I recently tried Nicer Foods. They are good, not great. Love the Go Macro peanut butter bars! I bring them with me all the time!
Hillary
I love Oberto terryaki jerky. A nice and easy source of protein that doesn’t hurt my belly!
RachelJL
I’m also new to the FODMAP diet. I found your blog a week ago and it’s been so helpful and invaluable! I didn’t realize that multigrain Puffins contained fructans. I’ve been gluten free for most of the past 18 years. I’m having a really hard time finding things to eat. It seem like even on the FODMAP diet everything makes me sick. I end up eating peanut butter sandwiches (gluten free bread, natural peanut butter with nothing added) all the time. I’ve lost 25-30 pounds, which would be great if I wasn’t starving all the time. I’ve been eating a lot of carrots and celery, and spinach salad. I let myself have a Lindt Intense Mint bar every few weeks.
katescarlata
Rachel, Maybe get checked for an overlapping GI disorder such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, pelvic floor dysfunction…maybe something else is contributing to your symptoms outside of your diet!!
RachelJL
Thanks! I’m trying to get to the doctor. I had a friend do a food sensitivity test with a homeopathic doctor, and I’d like to do that as well. I have PTSD and it’s more complicated than I realized.
Sandra Koch
What a great idea… I love the peanut butter bars.
Leasa Sieve
My favorite take along snack is popcorn! New to fodmap, love your blog! I would be overjoyed to win the box of treats. Just tried 1 minute oatmeal bread….that’s a keeper!
Jul
I would love to win this box — your recipes and tips have definitely helped to give me a digestive peace of mind already!
My favorite low FODMAP on-the-go snacks include:
– Go Macro peanut butter protein bars (I find them pretty filling)
– A baggie of homemade low FODMAP granola (I love your recipes)
– A mix of nuts: pecans, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds
– Mini peanut-butter “sandwiches” made from Whole Foods crunchy peanut butter slathered on Back to Nature multi-seed gluten free rice thin crackers (I fold them in a paper towel and put them in a baggie
Thanks for all your blog posts! You’ve made a challenging diet more friendly.
katescarlata
Julianne–thanks for sharing all your favorite snacks!
Robyn
My dietitian Dr. Carol Ireton Jones told me about your blog, and it has been so helpful while following the FODMAP diet- which is a miracle by the way! My favorite on the go snack are Crunchmaster crackers (some flavors have onion and garlic, but the original and sea salt do not). I also recently tried the go macro peanut butter bar since you posted about it, and it was really good!
katescarlata
Glad you checked out my blog, Robyn! Dr. Carol is a wonderful dietitian and I am glad that you connected with her! 🙂

I’m only a couple of weeks into this whole low-FODMAP adventure, but feeling better already. This site has been so helpful- thank you! Right now I’m loving Popcorners kettle corn flavor when I need something to grab and go. Nice crunch, and the salty/sweet combo I crave.
Lisa
I would love to try this box of treats! Nibbling all day is my thing because if I eat too much at once my stomach hurts! I love the Way Better chips. The cookies sound yummy as I’m still addicted to my junk food! lol I don’t know that we have that brand in NJ tho. Oh by the way, I enjoyed the 1 Minute Oatmeal Bread recipe and even sent it to my mom in FL with some brown rice flour so she doesn’t have to buy a whole bag! I also tried it with almond extract instead of vanilla and it was even better! Thank you for all the delicious recipes! It helps keep this “diet” exciting! =)
katescarlata
Oh Lisa….I love the idea of almond extract!! Will definitely give that a try!!
Carolyn K
What a great giveaway! My favorite FODMAP-friendly on-the-go treats are Bobo Bars – simply delicious! Need to be careful with the different flavors, but there are some good options…
Amy Rogers
thanks for the bobos bars idea! Yum!
katescarlata
You are most welcome, Amy. Bobo’s are a big favorite.
Debbie
Love banana dipped into powdered peanut butter and chia seeds. This box looks yummy
Amanda
My favorite on the go snack is Justin’s almond butter packets. I also make 5 ingredient grain free blender muffins–6 at the start of each week–and I tote those with me throughout the week for my afternoon snack. I also eat cheese sticks:)
Ashlee
I a not lactose intolerant, so cheese sticks, trail mix or a little bag of potato chips.
Nikki
Kate, this is unrelated to the delicious looking box but I have a question…where does cream of chicken soup rank on the fodmap list? I’m wanting to use it in a casserole that I’ve eaten before, a couple years ago, and ran across the recipe again the other day. I had so many tummy issues back then and don’t really know how this casserole affected me but wanted to give it a go. It calls for mushrooms, onions, and celery and was going to leave out the mushrooms and onions and leave the celery. It’s just 3 celery ribs for a 13×9 dish so I think that’s ok. It calls for 1 can. Whatcha think?
katescarlata
I am thinking cream of chicken soup would be full of FODMAPs—wheat flour, cream for starters.
Diana G
I keep a gomacro sunbutter/chocolate bar in my purse in case I have nothing to eat while I’m out.
Amy Rogers
Loved everything in your box Kate! To replenish where can we buy? In the Boston area? Thanks for the great ideas!
Amy
Hi Kate! Thanks for all of the delicious goodies in my box! Now I’m just wondering where I can purchase more? Only online??? Thanks, Amy.
katescarlata
Hi Amy, You can purchase the items in the balanced box in various grocery outlets in the US. It would be best if you went to the websites for the products–enter your zipcode– as they list the retailers that sell their products. Some products are very new…so many only be available online such as the laiki crackers. But just to help with a jump start: Way Better Snacks is available at Wegmans, Hyvee, Whole Foods, Go Macro-on line and Whole Foods, TruLemon-Walmart, Kroger, Hyvee, Target, Ginny Bakes–is available online–and Mid-west stores primarily including Whole foods. Hope that helps.

Kate,
I am a registered dietitian out of Alabama recently diagnosed with IBS. I stumbled across your blog when researching about low FODMAPs to control my IBS and thank goodness I did!!! From RD to RD, thank you for what you do!! Your blog has helped widen my knowledge of FODMAPs and has helped me make those lifestyle changes needed to follow a low FODMAP diet. I am now a firm believer in it because the diet works!! I have had so much fun trying the different recipes on your blog. I am recommending this diet to friends, family and patients with IBS. I have found that even small amounts of natural peanut butter can still cause some discomfort and using PB2 is much better tolerated for me. I like adding it to low FODMAP smoothies for added protein! I would love to win this box to find other new treats I can recommend to people!
Michele
I ordered the balance box today and I can’t wait to receive it. Love your blog!!!
katescarlata
Oh great, Michele! Hope you like the treats! 🙂
