Want the latest booklet–the 3rd edition was released September 2012 and with reduced shipping fees!
Order a booklet from the Australian researchers that have provided us with the majority of research about FODMAPs and digestive health. Food analysis is ongoing and is expensive! When you purchase a book, the money goes to fund further research for this very interesting and therapeutic approach to managing digestive health disorders. It’s a fantastic booklet covering just about everything you ever wanted to learn about FODMAPs!

Would you consider selling a digital version for $5? It would make it much more convenient for those of us who are half way around the world. Thank you.

I just provide the link to those interested. This book is published by the leading researchers of FODMAPs at Monash University. A digital version WOULD be great, I agree!
Kate
I’m new to the FODMAPs diet and am trying to get a copy of this booklet. Do you know if they have developed an electronic version of the booklet? Wasn’t sure if you heard anything about that since the last posting. I’m waiting to hear back from the folks at Monash University.
Thanks!
katescarlata
I know they were talking about doing an electronic version but not sure they have gotten around to it yet. They are extremely busy with testing foods and research.
Susan
I would buy one if it was electronic. Too expensive for postage. I am in the United States. New to FODMAPS. Very interested. Have first appointment with nutritioanist who works with this diet. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE RESULTS. Reading several different sites and comments – I see me on all the pages.
katescarlata
I hope the diet is effective for you Susan. It has been life changing for many of my clients. Make sure you leave with a few menu samples to get you started and hopefully a grocery list–although you can download mine too if you’d like.
Best,
Kate

I have been on a low FODMAP diet for 3 months and it has completely changed my life. I finally feel normal for the first time in over 10 years. I’m under the care of a nutritionist who has helped guide me since it can be overwhleming to navigate at first. I was also referred to Kate’s site for reference and I think it’s great. Clean, simple and user friendly. Thanks for all the info Kate! Just bought your book (Complete Idiot’s Guide to IBS).
I hope it is successful for you Susan. Good Luck!

Your welcome Catherine for your kind words. I am glad you found my site helpful! Another low FODMAP diet success story…Awesome!!
Judy Moore
HI Kate,
just about to send an order in for another 20 booklets. I find this an invaluable tool for my patients, whom I put on a low FODMAP diet. It works really well and I have about a 75% success rate. As I work in IBS almost exclusively as a clinical nurse specialist in private practice I have a lot of raw data collected from sveral hundred patients, just begging for more researchers to help me. I did my clinical masters thesis on IBS. Would like to be in more contact with others working in this field, as most are either gastroenterologists or dietitians. If you are interested in liaising with me, please let me know.
cheers
Judy

New to this site and FODMAP for SIBO. I noticed your shopping list says ” Beef, Chicken, Fish, Tofu and Egg” but what about Pork? (chops/loin) and lobster/crab/shrimp etc.. are these allowed on the eating plan?
I was doing great in Jan/Feb/Mar/April, summer brings great fruits, indulged A LOT and symptoms of SIBO again… no beans since Jan… darn the bad luck.
Am I eating the wrong meats/seafood? Thanks
Karyn (RN)
katescarlata
Meats and seafood are okay–FODMAPs are carbs and so meats/seafood/pork are carb free–unless of course if they are breaded! Fruits are all a source of fructose so stick with low FODMAP choices and keep the portion to one serving per sitting! Sorry to hear you have SIBO symptoms again…having had SIBO myself I empathize 🙁
Rhonda Odegard
Kate, I was unable to order the Low FODMAP Diet booklet you have a form for on your Web site. How do I order this? Thanks Rhonda
Melodie
The link no longer seems to be working. I’m very interested in this booklet. In the meantime, HELP!!!!. I’ve got a teen boy who has been so ill for a year that we had to withdraw him from school. His nutritionist just put him on the Fodmap, but she is just learning about the diet herself, and he’s her first client on the diet. I’m a bit overwhelmed because the gluten-free info she gave me seems to contradict the Fodmap sheet she gave me. And I can’t find the all the lactose info I need. BTW, did I mention teen boys aren’t all that patient?
Thanks!
katescarlata
Hi Melodie, I know, I am a mom of 2 boys. 🙂
Do you have an iPhone, iPad, or iTouch—because there is a Monash University low FODMAP diet app–the booklet is included in the app –so you would be good to go in minutes.
Check under my FODMAPs basic tab as well for menu ideas, checklists, shopping info…might help you out a bit!!
Kelly Quinones
Hi Kate
The App Store does not seem to bring up the Monash University App for me. Can you tell me specifically what it’s called?
katescarlata
Kelly here is a link to the app and description. https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/monash-university-low-fodmap/id586149216?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4
Kevin
The link to the booklet is a deadend. It takes you to an error page on the Monash Univ web site.
katescarlata
Thanks for letting me know Kevin… Here is the correct link and I updated the page. http://www.med.monash.edu.au/cecs/gastro/documents/booklet-order-form-august-12.pdf
Jamie
Hi, I’m very new to the FODMAPS diet. I have been suffering with IBS for many years. Are you able to help me find any nutritionists in Northern NJ who have some backround in FODMAPS?
Thank you,
Jamie
katescarlata
Hi Jamie, Try my colleague’s RD list here and see if you can find one in your area. There are 2 from NJ. http://www.ibsfree.net/FODMAP-Friendly%20Dietitian%20Directory1.pdf Best to you!
Jamie
Thank you so much Kate! I really appreciate your help! 🙂
Jill
