Wondering if you were able to look into Shakeology being FODMAP approved yet? And if so what your findings were. I have been drinking it on and off and noticed that when I drink it I have some pretty significant gut issues... Would love to hear what you found out.

Hi Kate, The Rice dream organic original milk looks low FODMAP per ingredients. The serving size 'cut offs' of food is per meal --not per day. If you didn't notice improvement on a low FODMAP diet--and you are sure you followed it correctly--for 6 weeks--I would think the next step would be to STOP the diet. If going dairy free didn't offer benefit--again, I would not continue...BUT, sounds like you might need a more informed dietitian --or consider other treatment considerations--of course, I don't know your full story--so discuss further with your GI doctor.

Hi Kate,
I was told by my dietician that the rice milk (Rice Dream original, organic) I have been drinking is high FODMAP. But she also told me serving sizes (like 1/8th an avocado or 1/2 cup of oatmeal) is per day and not per meal/spaced with 3-4 hours in between as I had understood. Which is true? She also told me to cut out all dairy as I've been on the elimination phase for 6 weeks with no difference. Do you recommend non dairy milks (with brands) apart from almond (as I don't like), or anything with pea protein or soy (I'm allergic). Thank you!

Fody Olive Oil Shallot Infused, and Garlic Infused oils have made cooking and eating fun and delicious again; used in salad dressing, added to hamburger patties, brushed on roasted salmon! I switched from almond milk to rice milk and actually like it.

I might talk to your doctor about the possibility of mast cell activation syndrome. ARe you working with a progressive GI doctor?
