Hi Janice, Not sure that I have seen data on FODMAP content of rooibos tea, sorry. I have had clients find artichoke leaf extract helpful for dyspepsia--not sure it has been evaluated for FODMAP content--and brands likely differ--but in the few clients that have tried it--it has been helpful.

Hi Katie I was wondering if artichoke leaf extract would be okay to take as a supplement for the low FODMAP diet? Also wondering if rooibos tea is low FODMAP? Thank you for the help!

I would suggest you start the diet without the tea--since it hasn't been tested. But, perhaps add it back in after 2 weeks and assess tolerance or change in symptoms??

Hey Kate! I'm about to start the elimination phase and everything else seems pretty clear to me, but I was wondering if I can drink my favourite tea?

It's lipton's forest fruit tea and it contains 0,9 % strawberry, 0,6% rasberry, 0,6 % red currant, 0,3 % blackberry and 0,3% cherry. Do you know if the amounts of currant, blackberry and cherry are tiny enough? I always drink two cups of it per day and I'd feel lost without it.

Can you use a commercial coconut yogurt? Monash recently tested coconut yogurt and it was low FODMAP--their may be brand differences--but this offers some hope!

I tried the SCD Diet 24 hour yogurt and ended waking up in the middle of the night with stomach pains, gas and then diarrhea. I'm hoping that I can try some homemade coconut yogurt from All Against Grain's cookbook as I need the yogurt for baking and smoothies. I plan to VitaMix and strain unsweetened shredded coconut, I am hoping that it's low fodmap as the info on coconut is confusing and contradictory, if you read several sites. Any ideas or experiences on the coconut that you may have? Thank you for all you do!

Not sure, Haley. It is hard to know. But remember FODMAP effects are cumulative and portion driven--if the extract is the last ingredient--might be such a limited amount that it might not be an issue.

What about yeast extract, or extracts from high fodmap foods such as apricot? Truffle extract?
