This weekend Russ and I were invited to a wedding in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. It was a beautiful wedding, the bride looked radiant and the ceremony was followed by fabulous reception that ended with a bonfire! We reserved a room at the Currier’s House, a small B & B, down the road from the reception.
It was a cute old yellow home…
Russ relaxes for a moment with Max, the cute resident dog.
The reception was just up the road from the church and provided a great view of Mount Monadnock. Which reminds me… we have got to put this trip on the calendar with our boys because I know they would enjoy this 4-5 hour hike. The table settings were gorgeous. Beautiful drift wood filled with wild flowers. Doesn’t our table look great?
Russ and I enjoyed dressing up and hangin’ out with some of our great friends.
The bonfire was a fun addition to this day long celebration.
After a great night sleep at the Currier’s house, we were treated to homemade blueberry pancakes, bacon, juice and cherries. I was so happy to fill up on some fruit 🙂
The Currier’s Inn is very cute and Nancy was a wonderful host! The ride to and from Jaffrey was very scenic. We drove through the little town of Bolton and had to stop at the Nashoba Valley Winery. I have always wanted to check this winery out but never got the chance. It’s a special little place.
On arrival, this cute sign caught my eye. Wine is fruit, right?
We decided to pick out a selection of beers. I know, it’s a winery, we should be getting wine, but the beers looked cool and you could create your own 6 pack. How fun!
I am very happy with our purchase!
Since we had yummy blueberry pancakes today, I thought I would share my Buttermilk Pancake Recipe with you.
Add what you like. We like blueberries and lemon zest or banana walnut and the kids always go for the mini chocolate chip.

Rod grew up in Bolton. The winery has fun festivals and wine tasting events we enjoy going to in the fall!
