There is nothing quite like having a Guinness in Ireland. In fact, Ireland is the very place I acquired a taste for this creamy delicious beer. Did you know the dark color of beer does not mean it has more alcohol but rather that dark malts were used to create it.
I learned how to pour my first pint in Ireland and added the cute shamrock to the top as well. Did you know the darker beers have been shown to be a source of soluble fiber? Soluble fiber can lower cholesterol, so I guess beer in moderation, of course, may be good for my heart. Beer also is a source of folate, vitamin B6, niacin, pantothenic acid and riboflavin. Beer is fat free, but too much of it can make you fat, so drink responsibly.
Of course, it’s not just about the beer in Ireland. In fact, Ireland’s landscape took my breath away. If you get a chance to visit this beautiful country, enjoy a Guinness and the breathtaking scenery, as part of your well balanced vacation.
